Lady Of The Night

Lady of the Night is Donna Summer's debut album.

The album was released on February 26, 1974 by Groovy Records.

It was released in the Netherlands only and produced by Pete Bellotte.

Album BackgroundEdit

While Donna was background in a recording session at Munich's Musicland Studios for Three Dog Night in Germany, she met German-based producers, Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte.

The three of them forged a working partnership and began collaborating on songs together starting in 1974.

A demo tape of Donna's work with Giorgio & Pete led to a record deal with the European-distributed label Groovy Records.
